About us
Greenslade Pre-School was formed in 1972 and we are proud to have been providing high quality childcare since then. Our staff turnover is very low which is fantastic for forming bonds with children and their families. We are a team of 8 plus our Administrator and we think this size of team is great for being able to understand and work with our families.
Greenslade Pre-School is a registered charity run by the community for the community.
Our purpose built building
We are very lucky to have our own building so we don’t have to share our space with other groups and clubs. It includes a main room, story room, small office and fantastic front and back playgrounds. We have a range of outside storage for all our bikes, trikes, scooters and other resources.
Our story room
We use the story room at the end of our morning and afternoon sessions. Children take a cushion and go into the story room with a member of staff where they all sing songs and have story time together as a group. At the end of story time children say goodbye to their friends who are going home and sing our goodbye song.
Our front play area
In recent years we have been lucky to have had a new front playground built with specialist equipment for preschool age children. Its a great area for the children to have fun with their friends and learn new skills. The pirate ship is always popular!
Our back play area
We have a fantastic back play area that includes a wooden wendy house, a large sandpit, water play and lots of bikes, trikes and scooters for our children to enjoy. We are also very lucky to have access to a grassy area which is lovely for having our lunch outside in the summer and playing with friends.
Our sessions
We provide four sessions throughout the day. All sessions are subject to availability. The afternoon session includes lunchtime (not provided).

From April 2024, we will charge a £10 per month Sufficiency Fee for all children receiving funding.
