Our daily routine
Mornings:
9.00am
Children and parents are welcomed by staff.
Children self register by choosing their name from the table and putting on the register wall. Free play activities for children to choose.
9.30am
Snack time. Children help to set up the tables, go to the toilet and wash their hands before finding their names on the snack table. Staff and children sit together, sing songs with Makaton
and the register is taken before children carry out roles eg handing out plates, fruit etc to all children sat with them. Makaton is used to support spoken language. Children pour their chosen drink of milk or water.
9.50am
Activity time.
There is a mix of child initiated and adult led activities both indoors and outdoors. Some children have small group time with their keyperson.
11.30am
Tidy up time.
All children and staff help to tidy up and children are reminded to have a drink of water. Water bottles are available at all times.
11.40am
Story time.
All children go in to the story room for a story and songs with a member of staff.
Lunchtime changeover:
12.00pm
Children who are only staying for the morning are collected, some children arrive for the afternoon session
and all children staying for lunch go to the toilet and wash their hands.
Afternoons:
12.10pm
Lunchtime.
Children find their lunchbox on the table and unpack it on to the plate provided. Children choose milk or water using words and Makaton with staff and pour it themselves. Staff sit with children to eat their lunch. At the end of lunch children pack their lunchboxes, return them to the storage area, recycle their waste and take plates and cups to the washing up trays.
1.00pm

Changeover.
Children who are leaving now are collected and children staying for the late session remain.
Late afternoons:
5.30pm
Children who have stayed for the late session are collected.
