Leader/Senco
I qualified in Childcare in 2006 spent 18 years working in a nursery in a range of roles. I attended Greenslade as a child and went on to send my 2 children here. They both came on leaps and bounds throughout their time here. I am looking forward to helping each child develop and making them school ready through activities, experiences and encouraging independence.
Leader/Safeguarding officer
I always worked in childcare after leaving school and after a short period in retail after having my children I returned to my first love when I joined the team at Greenslade. I started as a Committee member and saw for myself what an amazing place the preschool was and knew I wanted to return to childcare and work at Greenslade. I have never looked back and find being Leader so rewarding and fulfilling.

My association with Greenslade began when I started here as a 3 year old! My own children also came to Greenslade and during this time I had the opportunity to help as a parent helper which I really enjoyed. This led me to go to college to study in Early Years and after qualifying in 2002 I started working here. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in such a lovely environment with a dedicated team of staff.

3 of my 4 children came to Greenslade and I felt so passionately about the preschool I was Chair of the Committee for 8 years. I qualified in Early Years and have worked here since 2013. I really enjoy working in the preschool team and love the fact we have our own dedicated building and fantastic outside space for the children to enjoy.

I re-trained in childcare after 10 years of running my own business , during this time I volunteered at a preschool and after qualifying I worked at a local nursery. In 2015 I was very lucky to be offered the job at Greenslade and I have never regretted my decision. Its a great team to work in and we have lots of great resources.

While my daughter was at Greenslade I realised what a lovely environment it was and how much I would like to work here and support the children in their development, as I had seen staff do for my own child. I decided to re-train in Early Years and volunteered at Greenslade while qualifying. I have worked at different Childrens Centres around North Somerset and have worked at Greenslade since 2016. I love working at Greenslade and feel extremely lucky to have such a fulfilling role.

My background is in Education and both of my boys attended Greenslade. They thoroughly enjoyed their time here and absolutely thrived - they still remember the songs and talk about what they did even though they haven’t been here for years! Whilst they were here I was Chairperson and learnt a lot about what goes on ‘behind the scenes’, how the preschool is run and how important the Committee are. I also have experience as a Teaching Assistant at a local school and I own my own business, Trainmaster, running play sessions and birthday parties for children.

I have always been told by family and friends that I should look at a career working with children and when I decided to rethink my career Child Care came up again. I initially volunteered at Greenslade and really enjoyed working in the setting. I applied for a permanent role and am currently working to qualify for my Level 3 in Child Care. I am very grateful to be part of a wonderful team who help support me through this new journey!

Both my children attended Greenslade and I always loved the Pre-School and how well my children were cared for and how much they developed. I have been lucky enough to have worked here since 2015 and I enjoy every minute - being part of the staff team and being around the children and seeing them learn and grow.
